Though I have now been a couple of years in Canada, I still miss the time at XJTLU. With participating in competitions, workshops and study trips, opportunities offered by XJTLU frequently, I developed my teamworking skills and leadership. Professors offered me great favours whenever I need them. I will think in a critical and independent way as the most indelible lesson I learnt in XJTLU. Architectural theories can be forgotten, but the skill and attitude developed here will never be eliminated.
After four years of wonderful architectural study, I continued my studies in the Master programme at McGill University in Canada. During master study, I got a chance to work at Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF) in Shanghai, from where I joined in a fantastic design team leading by the New York office. Afterwards, I have been working at an up and coming Vancouver architectural company for 2 years, growing from an architectural designer to a junior project manager. This year, I switched to a big firm in Vancouver and have been working on project management and construction administration. During my working period, I obtained LEED AP BD+C; I had passed Examination for Architects in Canada, waiting for the final step to be a licensed Architect in Canada.
