The architectural education I gained in XJTLU is unique and incredible, I really cherish the memory of my studio life in EB building. It was hard but full of joy. For me, XJTLU is where my architectural life began, and the things I have learned there build up who I am now. Also in XJTLU, I was introduced to parametric design which becomes one of my research direction in my master’s study.
After I graduated from XJTLU in 2016, I continued my architectural education in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, which is known for specializing in the intersection between architectural design and computer science. Here I got a lot of chances to dive my interest in digital fabrication and parametric design. For my master's thesis project, I published "An Anonymous Composition" for the Association for Computer-Aided Design in Architecture (ACADIA) 2019 conference. I designed and trained a GAN neural network to automatically generate and filter design options for human designers.
Currently, I work in the San Francisco Bay Area as an architectural designer in Steinberg Hart. With the curiosity of new technologies, I am looking forward to the opportunities of challenging the conventional ways of understanding architectures and the urban environments.
